Bhuwal mata

Bhuwal Mata〔Bhuwal mata by Tagraj Chhajed published by Bhuwal Vatika, Polic line Jodhpur〕 is clan deity (Kuldevi) of the Chhajed and Bardia clan of Jains. The temple of Bhuwal mata is located at Birhami or Birami village of Rajasthan near Jodhpur. It is about 30 km southeast of Jodhpur.
This deity is not to be confused with Bhawaal Mata of Merta City. Both are Kuldevis of different clans- Bhuwal Mata of Chhajed's whereas Bhawaal Mata of Bengani's.
==History==

In ancient time the temple of clan deity of Chhajeds was at Khedgarh which is now known as Tilwara and is 15 km from Balotra an important city in the district Barmer of Rajasthan.
The deity decided to move to Birhami in the year 1969 when about 12500 families of Chhajed clan were asked by Goddess herself to construct her temple within 24 hours.
The footprints of Bhuwal Mata are still worshiped at Khed.
